Ben Heisler
Ben Heisler has spent his career in the business of storytelling, which makes joining My Legacy Recording a natural fit. Whether it’s a live on-air conversation or a sit-down for a recorded session or written profile, what makes the work special for Ben is building a warm, authentic connection that puts people at ease and gets them excited to share their story.
Ben launched into professional radio in 2010 and made his name as host and Executive Producer of “The Drive” on 96.5 The Fan (formerly 610 Sports Radio), Kansas City’s highest-rated sports talk show, from 2014 to 2018. Along the way, he’s interviewed some of the biggest names in sports media, including Dick Vitale, Joe Buck, Ian Eagle, Jason Benetti, and Kevin Harlan. He’s also written and edited for a range of publications, including Sports Illustrated, Awful Announcing, and Minute Media. A Chicagoland native, Ben brought his stubborn sports allegiances south when he settled in Kansas City in 2014. He lives in Overland Park, KS with his wife, their two sports-obsessed elementary-school-aged boys, and a Catahoula–Australian Cattle Dog mix who runs the household.
